Why is there a seam in the roof of my tent?

Modified on Tue, 7 Jul at 2:28 PM

The canvas fabric we use comes in fixed widths. Sometimes those widths are not as wide as what we need to use in the tent construction. All of our tents will have a seam in the roof line, and it actually adds strength. It is a downward facing seam and is completely waterproof once the tent has been seasoned. We have never had an issue with the seam there and are confident you will not either.
